I met this family at Capitol Park in downtown Tuscaloosa (one of my favorite spots) for their portrait session. Mom is another of my favorite UA nursing professors. SO SMART and has encouraged me and taught me so much in my time as a student. I absolutely loved meeting her husband and children on this summer evening. The golden hour light and the outfits and the adorable family just make me drool <3 Enjoy my favorties from our evening together!
mom and two beautiful daughters | tuscaloosa child photographer
For those of you that do not know me personally, I have embarked on the journey to become a nurse. This session is incredibly special because mom was one of my very first nursing school professors. After meeting her, I immediately loved and respected her for her personality and intelligence. I spent a semester in one of her courses and then was lucky enough to placed in her clinical group in the subsequent semester. The knowledge she passed on to our small group and the attention that she gave us is incomparable. I will forever be grateful for all that I learned under her guidance!
Dr. K and her sweet Katherine and Charlotte met me at Sokol Park on a Friday afternoon in May. We had so much fun and I loved how photogenic all 3 of these girls were. Enjoy looking through a few of my favorite images from our time together! <3
fall family photos ~ family of four | birmingham family photographer
ohmigoodness, I can't say enough about how exciting it was to photograph this family of our dear friends. We became close friends with dad, Daniel, through our high school church youth group. Then, we all went to Samford University where Daniel met his soul mate, Kristen. We all instantly loved Kristen and I was SO happy to be reunited with them for a photo session!
I am honored that all of my clients choose me but when a friend chooses me, it's hard to put into words the meaning of that decision. This family of four was so much fun to be with and a joy to photograph. Daniel and Kristen's children are so respectful and enjoyable to be around. I best time on this evening together. We will see each other socially very soon and I can't wait! For now, enjoy a few of my favorites from our evening together! Cheers~
family of 4 ~ fall lake photos | tuscaloosa family photographer
We became fast friends with this family of four just a few months into our move to Tuscaloosa. A friend of mine from college told me that I needed to get in touch with mom~ Jamie~ that she was a nurse and is a great friend. Well, fast forward a couple months and my Jack and her oldest ended up in the same preschool class! Not only that, but they also ended up on the same soccer team. Serendipity at it's best. And shortly after spending time together our Ryan fell in love with their Sissy.
This family's home is decorated with GORGEOUS quality photographs of their children and of them as a family. I was immediately impressed with her choices of who she hired in the past. So when she inquired about a session with me, I was more than flattered.
We met on a gorgeous fall weekend evening at Lake Nicol for some photos by the lake and with the changing leaves in the background. I loved their coordinating blue wardrobe with pops of red~ the perfect choice! Enjoy a few of my favorites from our evening together...
autumn sibling photos | tuscaloosa child photographer
I'm so happy that one of my first photography clients was our realtor! Jennifer Hamner had incredible guidance as she helped us look for our new home in Tuscaloosa. She gave us all the needed information and tips to find the best spot to live. We can't recommend her highly enough!
When Jen contacted me about a session for her children I was beside myself excited. Her kids exemplified her caring and mature nature and were wonderful to photograph. Campbell and Bo were so sweet and when I brought my boys to the session were incredibly kind and inclusive of them as well!
Enjoy my favorites of our evening together! Roll Tide!
triplet family of five ~ fall portraits | tuscaloosa family photographer
The Deasy family never ceases to amaze. Triplet toddlers and mom and dad look AMAZING! Not only do they look amazing but they have the most positive attitudes about life and are people that naturally draw you to them. I complain about one toddler but they have THREE and never mention an ill word. I'm so thankful to have met them when I photographed the christening of their babies and to have developed a friendship with them.
Renata and Nathan are some of my favorite people that I have ever met. Their children are beautiful and they show so much care to their three 2 year olds. I am constantly impressed by them and so thankful that they ask me to photograph their family so often. It's so hard to express how wonderful these people are! Hopefully the photographs help to describe their amazingness.

family of five ~ fall photography session | birmingham family photographer
One of the tragedies of leaving Atlanta was leaving this family who JUST moved into town a few short months before we left. Mom, Sarah, was my ZTA sorority sister at Samford University in Birmingham and someone I respected, loved, and truly enjoyed being around. We reconnected when they came to town and she even asked me to photograph their newest addition! Sarah is someone that you can go months (years in our case!) without seeing but pick up right where you left off. She is a gem of a friend.
On our trip to Atlanta this weekend, we scheduled a photo session for these fantastic people. Becca, Brooks, and Hannah are the most adorable little siblings you have ever seen. I am amazed at how calm mom and dad are with so many little ones and how they parent and love them with such grace that I admire. I hope these images portray the love and affection this family shares. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our afternoon at their home...
family of 4 ~ autumn photos | tuscaloosa family photographer
This family! I have missed them so much since we moved from Atlanta to Tuscaloosa. Thankfully, I have had many clients and friends who request that I come back to continue to take their family portraits. I always love a good reason to go back "home" for the weekend.
You'll remember Emma Claire's 2 year old fall session, Reid's newborn session, and the vintage blue spring session that we did earlier this year. I was so excited that they wanted full family photos on this occasion! We had perfect weather and a perfectly matched family to go along:). We spent the morning taking lots of photos as well as spending a lot of time catching up. I have really missed my beautiful friend and her family.

family of five ~ fall photo session | tuscaloosa family photographer
I'll always remember this one! My first photo session in Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide! Although this is a family of Ole Miss fans it's ok because I was glad to find out that there's a little bit of college football diversity here. Mom- Carlley- is a local photographer herself and the director of my boys' preschool. Since she knows what to look for, I was honored that she asked me to capture their fall family photos. She also introduced me to this beautiful location, Capitol Park, where there are ruins from the old capitol building when Tuscaloosa was the Alabama state capitol from 1826-1846. The building burned in 1923 but has been preserved in this park. I'm a fan of the location and this family!
Carlley knew exactly where she wanted her family photo so that made the session super quick! And don't they look wonderful in their pastels? Perfect coordination and choice for the setting.
Enjoy my favorites from our night together...
sibling love in vintage clothing | birmingham children's photographer
These sweet children belong to one of my best friends. I am always so flattered that they ask me to capture their family at all the important milestones. You may remember Emma Claire's fall session and Reid's newborn session...such a beautiful family.
Mom wanted to schedule this session while these adorable matching baby blue Feltman Brothers outfits still fit and once baby brother was sitting up. Well, it all worked out perfectly. AND, Feltman Brothers even shared the first image below on their social media accounts!
Emma Claire is the best big sister and I really think it shows in these images. Little Reid couldn't be cuter if he tried! I just love these two siblings. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our morning together!
the s family | tuscaloosa family photographer
I have known this sweet family since their oldest was only two years old! We know each other from church and I was even able to visit both little sister and little brother in the hospital after they were born. That always gives me a special bond with a family and baby.
I was thrilled when they call and invited me to capture them inside and around their newly built home. Their kind spirits overflow whenever you are around them and this evening was no different. We had the best time together. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this family of four and their fall photo session. They are some of my favorite people in Atlanta. I met them through church when their oldest was just a baby and even visited the hospital when their son was born. They are always so enjoyable to talk to and their kids are the best and so much fun.
We met on a beautiful weekday afternoon at a park in Buckhead, one that I had been anxious to try out for some time now. It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for their family pictures. Mom coordinated their outfits so perfectly and they look amazing! I just love how the images turned out. Take a peek....
one year old boy photos | Atlanta Family Photographer
This little boy couldn't have been more adorable for his one year photos! I've met his momma through a mutual friend and have gotten to know her a little bit through social events. I was thrilled when she contacted me about a session for Jackson and the rest of the family.
We met on a perfectly sunny afternoon and little guy was in a great mood and a joy to photograph. The rest of his family was so much fun and you can really see through these images that Jackson is one loved little boy.
C family, I hope these images captured your little love exactly how you want to remember him at this cute stage in his life. He is one lucky boy to have the love of so many wonderful people!
sweet little siblings | Alpharetta Family Photographer
I was so excited about this session for my friends the Gersters and hoped that we would get lucky and have a warm December session. Not so much, it was freezing!!!
We got some really sweet shots in the short time we were together but will be finishing this session on a warmer day. So look for more of this beautiful family soon!
Newborn AJ - Cumming Newborn Photographer, Johns Creek Newborn Photographer
Precious little AJ surprised his family by arriving a month early! When I met AJ, he was exactly two weeks new and such a sweet guy. He didn't want to sleep much and I'm sure it's because he doesn't want to miss out on all the fun that his sisters are having! His big sisters were so cute and their mommy had dressed them up in the most perfect fluffly dresses. They kept me laughing all afternoon and we had a great time together.
I loved getting to know you all better, S family, thank you for inviting me into your home to photograph your beautiful children! It was a wonderful session:)
Mother's Day Images - Johns Creek, Georgia Photographer, Johns Creek Baby Photographer
I always use our birthdays and other special occasions as somewhat of an excuse to take pictures that are a bit more formal than the every day shots. Mother's day happens to be one of these so here are a couple favorites from our evening. I took the first, but John took the second after a quick lession in back button focus and backlighting. I think he did pretty well!
Charlotte {8 days new} - Norcross Newborn Photographer, Alpharetta Newborn Photographer
This sweet girl is the third addition to this wonderful family. I met them through our church and their middle child, Olivia, was the first baby born after I started working at the church. I always enjoy spending time with the family, they are so much to be around. So I was of course super excited when mom asked me to do newborn portraits of baby Charlotte!
Because I'm also their minister, I was able to visit mom, dad, and Charlotte in the hospital just a few days after she was born. It was the first time I had been back to that hospital since jack was born and it made me feel so sentimental! I really loved that they allowed me to come visit them during Charlotte's first days and I loved getting some newborn snuggles from her on that day, too!
Our morning together for the newborn session was a lot of fun and little Charlotte slept so well for us! Big brother and sister were so proud of their baby, it was so special to see them hold and love her. Olivia even helped pick out accessories for Charlotte's photo shoot.
Congratulations, D Family, on this sweet bundle of joy:) And thank you for inviting me into your home to capture Charlotte in her early days of life. I enjoyed it so much. She is blessed to be born into such a loving family as yours!
beautiful sisters ~ family of four | Johns Creek Family Photographer
This evening mini session with my friends the Akins was a lot of fun. We had a perfect sunny day and beautiful scenery at the Big Creek Greenway. I so enjoyed capturing this beautiful family at this stage in their lives!
squeezable 3 month old boy - Milton Baby Photographer
I met Joseph when he was a tiny newborn, and it was so much fun to see him and his parents again at his 3 month session! This baby has just become even cuter over the couple months since I saw him last- so smiley and snuggly:) What a precious baby boy you have, "F" family. I enjoyed my session with him and look forward to doing it again when Joseph is 6 months old!
