I am in LOVE with this newborn session! In part because this sweet girl's mama is a college sorority sister of mine:). This family recently moved to Atlanta from Texas and I was thrilled to know that they were here but even more so to know that a friend from college (that I thought so highly of) would be close to me! I was beyond honored to be asked to photograph this beautiful family and their addition of newborn Hannah. With twin older siblings and a new baby, I was so impressed and enthralled by the way Sarah and Erik related to each other and their sweet children. Anyone who knows them would be blessed to call them friends...what an amazing family! We had a perfect newborn session, and spent lots of time catching up in between poses, I cannot begin to describe how wonderful this day was. Miss Hannah was a perfect model and her older siblings were too adorable as you can see! Enjoy a few of my favorite images from our time together!<3

What an honor to photograph this new addition! It's always flattering to photograph a tiny newborn but when I'm able to do this for one of my closest friends, I can't even describe how I feel during these sessions. Newborn JM3 is the son of one of my lifelong best friends and now his daddy is one of my husband's good friends. So wonderful how that happens, right?? We have been beyond thrilled for their new addition, and knew that big sister Lainey would be so excited about a LITTLE BROTHER! This lovely little guy has my heart and it was all my pleasure to drive to Alabama for his very special newborn portrait session. We had a wonderful day together and little JM3 was so easy going and sleep that we were able to get ever pose possible with a newborn! ohmigoodness...can I just say that only perfection came out of this newborn session?? When you take a look at these images, you will see what a flawless, adorable baby I had the privilege of working with on this morning. This is an extended family session for the books. You may recognize some familiar faces as I've photographed my friend Amanda's family and extended family many times. Our session this morning was for her husband's family. We have been talking a while about getting together for portrait and, as you can imagine, it is SO hard to coordinate schedules for this many people! We ended up finding a morning that would work for all of us and met at a park with shade so the sun wouldn't be too harsh. What a fun day! This wedding joined two families...mom + 2 and dad +3. They found a beautiful church in a perfect spot in Atlanta to exchange vows and join their families for a lifetime. I was more than honored to be asked to be a part of this special day. The Litton wedding was all about fun, family, and love. In this sense, it was so laid back, the kind of wedding we all wish we had...where attention is paid to the bride and groom and their families and closest friends. We even took a quick trip down to the Krog Stree Tunnel for some fun photo opportunities!

This sweet, sweet family is so special to me! I met them after their son was born and I photographed him as a newborn, at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and at 1 year. A year or so passes and I hear that they are expecting a baby girl! We scheduled a fresh 48 hospital session and her newborn photos. And omigoodness, the images and our time together were incredible.

Flash forward to this fall and miss Vivian is 6 months old! We met for these photos at this family's new, custom built home. Can I just say that it was gorgeous? Vivian's nursery was beautiful so we had to get a few photos of the little miss there and then we moved out onto their property for some yummy golden light outdoor images.

The big reveal of the Shadix family Christmas card photos!:) I have been counting the days to share this session with everyone. We wanted to keep it a secret until the Christmas cards were sent and delivered and now is the time.

Andrea, the matriarch of this amazing family and the mother of one of my close friends, talked to me about this styled session during her spring extended family session back in May. She had already purchased the essential wardrobe pieces for her grandchildren and always has a unique Christmas card image to send to hear loved ones so she wanted my help this year. I can't begin to tell you how thrilled and honored I was to be their photographer! We decided to meet at the clubhouse in their neighborhood where we found plenty of beautiful backdrops for their portraits.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this family. I "met" Natalia through our gym although we were never there at the same time! After scheduling our session, we figured out that her youngest and my oldest go to the same preschool. Small world! So much in common before we even met and our evening together was delightful! Once we met, we continued to hit it off and found even more connections and similar interests as we talked.

We met on a November evening at one of my favorite, unique Atlanta locations. The H family was adorably coordinated and were all so natural in front of the camera. We did a bit of walking on the boardwalk and then found a fun spot for the boys to throw leaves on our way back to our cars. I think we captured a nice variety of classic family images as well as a few that show the fun they have together and the love they have for one another.

When a photographer contacts you about portraits of his family, this is the highest compliment! Not only is Charles a talented photographer himself, his wife Kristen is a self proclaimed critic of photography. You can only imagine my excitement when I heard from them about a family session this fall. I have seen beautiful portraits hung on the walls of their home and posted on their Facebook profiles, so I was beyond thrilled to be asked to document their family this year.

We decided to meet at the historic Roswell bridge at golden hour. Our session was pushed back by all the rain this fall, but that's beside the point. We scheduled a new time and it couldn't have been more perfect...we pretty much had Vickery Park all to ourselves! 

With a family of 6 (3 of those being young boys) you would expect crazinesss! But no, this family was AMAZING. The boys were so well behaved, cooperative, and handsome, I couldn't have asked for more. Little miss Lillian, the S family's sweet baby, was beautiful, smiley, too adorable, and the star of the day.

I could not have asked for a more perfect family to photograph on this fall evening! I am flattered and honored, more than I can say, to have been able to capture your family this year, S family! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together...

I am beyond excited and HONORED that my image of little Olivia was chosen to be featured on a popular photography website blog. This image was an immediate favorite in the moment it was snapped, so when Clickin Moms asked for bokeh images I just knew that I had to submit it. There were over 300 entries and ONLY 29 were chosen by talented and award winning photographer, Megan Dill. I am thrilled to have my image included among so many other beautiful captures. I cannot say enough about this senior session. Stunning girl, super cool locations, perfect weather, and great company. Eva's mom contacted me after seeing a friend's senior photos. She knew that her daughter needed something similar - fun, unique, and different from a typical senior portrait location. And what's better than going downtown to find these spots!?! I'm always so excited when someone takes me up on an in town session:)

We met at Krog Street Market and walked up to the Krog Street Tunnel, unsure of what we would find but knowing there would be some cool graffiti. Well...the tunnel delivered and Eva ROCKED it. Not only was Eva stunning in beauty but she was SO cool, I can't think of a better word to describe her. She loves live music, fashion, family, and her closest friends ~ a girl after my own heart. It was so refreshing to meet someone wise beyond her years with ambition for her future. Fashion design and merchandising are Eva's goals and if you can tell by her images she will be a natural in this field.

After Krog Street we hopped over to Piedmont Park complete with a wardrobe change. We found some beautiful spots for images of Eva as well as some amazing dowtown Atlanta skyline views.

Eva, I know you have a bright, exciting future ahead. And Rose, thank you for entrusting me with your daughter's portraits at such an important time in life. I had an incredible evening with you!

Jen was referred to me by the t family, who's fall family photos I did a couple years back. When I met Jen I felt instantly connected to her on so many levels and I can't begin to describe how wonderful it is when that happens. To be brief, it's like photographing one of your lifelong friends. We have so much in common and I enjoyed learning about her family and desires for this photography session.

We met on a Sunday evening at the Big Creek Greenway and for the first time I met her gorgeous family. Beautiful. The kids were so sweet with each other, respectful, and fun. And Jen and Jon were amazing. Let's not forget Reese, the regal doggie, who was probably the most cooperative member of the session?? LOVE it.

This is a very special family that my husband has known since his childhood days in Northern Virginia. I've meet Susan a few times since she moved down to Atlanta, so I was thrilled when she contacted me this summer about an extended family session for the fall! This was the first time I got to meet the grandparents and they were so much fun. There's also something special about photographing a family that your family has known for so long. It was a lovely evening.

Susan and her husband, Chris, welcomed their baby girl Allison this summer. What an adorable little doll baby! She gave us the cutest smiles with dimples big blue eyes and all kinds of preciousness. This cutie pie 3 year old and his family joined me for my annual fall mini sessions. I was so excited that they signed up because I hadn't seen them in over a year back when we attended church together. I very clearly remember that little Ethan was a super sweet and well behaved little boy and he had not changed a bit! He was the most adorable little guy on this evening at Barrington Hall, he turned up the charm and grins 100%, and went along with ANYTHING we asked him to do. One of my favorite things about what I do is photographing families as their children grow. This is one of those families and I consider it such a joy to work with them in particular. I first met the Wells when "Little Bear" was just 8 days new and absolutely loved them from the first minute. We always have so much to talk about and all 3 are naturals in front of the camera.

This year we met at the Big Creek Greenway and walked to a little spot where I like to take families. The trees were just beginning to turn and although the mosquitos were downright evil (lol) the light was perfect on this evening. I just love when everything works out for a family's portraits. This extended family scheduled a time for us to get together when their grandfather would be in town. With all the rain we've had lately it was a bit of a worry what kind of day we might get. But we had the most PERFECT sunny evening for their session, they were perfectly coordinated and the location was an excellent choice by them.

As I said in my Facebook sneak peek for them, this family had so much fun joking and laughing with one another during the evening. To me, this shows how much they appreciate one another and I hope that genuine happiness comes through in these images. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this family. And WOW how beautiful are they?? Not only are mom and dad exceptional in every way, they have three absolutely precious babies. Littles T, S, and C have grown so much since I last saw them on their baptism day.  I could not get over their cuteness then so you can imagine how thrilled I was to hear from their mama about a family session this fall! Each baby has already started to develop a distinct personality and I loved hearing about and even witnessing some of the new things they're doing.

We met at one of my favorite locations, Lullwater Park in Decatur, on a gorgeous evening and took some photos by the lake and in a nice open field. Next, we moved to their home for an image on the front steps of their perfectly beautiful Decatur home. Enjoy this overload of adorableness that is the d family!

Perfection. That is the best way to describe this golden hour session with the Garcias. I am always so honored when my friends ask me to capture their families and I am thrilled when everything turns out as perfectly as this evening did. I last photographed this family a couple years ago in a different setting but they were just as amazing.

The perfect golden light, a beautiful family, perfectly dressed, and genuine interactions made this evening so special. 4 year old Olivia is one of our Jack's best friends and you can see how absolutely ADORABLE this little girl is.
