This year I have decided to embark on a Project 365... a photo a day for an entire year. I have been wanting to complete one of these personal projects for a couple years now, but finally felt the true motivation and desire to do it in 2015! With our new addition of baby brother at the end of this month, I know I'll have lots of great subject matter.

I hope to mostly capture each day with my d800 as a way of refining and expanding my photography skills but there may be some iPhone shots sprinkled throughout. So please excuse the quality of those few! Day 2 and Day 7 of this first week are iPhone captures - day 2 because I left my memory cards at home and day 7 because the moment happened and I only had my phone:)

One of my favorite families! I get to see them often and I love that. Usually for multiple photo sessions each year:) Our christmas mini was perfect once again. This adorable family of 5 is so easy to photograph and I am beyond thrilled with these gorgeous winter images.

We met at a new spot in a familiar location. I love trying out new scenery and this location is a keeper for sure. After the most important family poses, we got some of the kids individually and mom and dad together~ I always love to get the parents alone since that's not one most of us think of taking often enough:)

Another awesome family Christmas card photo session. I love that they wanted to bring along doggie and he did so well for the family images with him! This family was so much fun and chose red and black for their wardrobe (for UGA of course!) and they were a pleasure to photograph. Big brother and big sister were so sweet with their baby, you can see how much they adore her from these images.

We met on an abnormally nice December morning for these photos. The light was gorgeous at this atlanta park and I just love the images we were able to get together. I hope you will enjoy these for many years to come, enjoy a few sneak peeks from our time together!<3

Oh how I LOVE newborn baby sessions!!! This precious girl did not disappoint. In fact, she was completely PERFECT and her family was as well. I can't say enough wonderful things about my time with this family. Emma's mom was so welcoming to me, she is a friend of a friend but it felt like I had known her for years. This is one of my very favorite newborn baby girl sessions EVER and I know these images will tell that story. I hope that you treasure these photos of your beautiful Emma forever, P family! Meet the Doldo's! My beautiful friend, Faith, and all her handsome boys! Their oldest son and my Jack are big buddies so I knew what an adorable personality the little man had and the twins couldn't be cuter if they tried!

Faith's husband, Neil, works as the fitness director at the Atlanta Athletic Club, so when Faith mentioned that location as an option, I knew we HAD to go for it. Nothing like a private photo session for your family of five on the golf course! Their perfectly coordinated outfits totally made the session. I had so much fun photographing your family, Faith and Neil, and hope you will enjoy the images for many years to come!

I can't say enough about this sweet family. Their precious children are so blessed to be led by a woman and man of such strong faith. The love that this family shares is evident in each interaction, not only between each other but they portray the same kind of love to those outside their family. I know them from church and have always felt so appreciated, cared for, and loved by them. So naturally, I was honored that they asked me to capture their family this fall. I can't say enough wonderful things about this family of four and their fall photo session. They are some of my favorite people in Atlanta. I met them through church when their oldest was just a baby and even visited the hospital when their son was born. They are always so enjoyable to talk to and their kids are the best and so much fun.

We met on a beautiful weekday afternoon at a park in Buckhead, one that I had been anxious to try out for some time now. It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for their family pictures. Mom coordinated their outfits so perfectly and they look amazing! I just love how the images turned out. Take a peek....

My beautiful friend, Sarah, contacted me after finding out the gender of her baby and wanted to do a special photo shoot for Van, Sarah and Chad's son. I was instantly excited about this idea and knew how sweet Van has been about his mommy being pregnant and wanting to know if his sibling would be a boy or a girl. I couldn't wait to witness the big reveal!

It's a girl!!!! Van was adorable and giddy with excitement over his soon to be baby sister! I couldn't be more thrilled for my sweet friend and her family. This baby girl is so blessed to have a big brother like Van and such awesome parents, too:) Thank you, Chad and Sarah, for letting me be part of the big reveal!

This little boy couldn't have been more adorable for his one year photos! I've met his momma through a mutual friend and have gotten to know her a little bit through social events. I was thrilled when she contacted me about a session for Jackson and the rest of the family.

We met on a perfectly sunny afternoon and little guy was in a great mood and a joy to photograph. The rest of his family was so much fun and you can really see through these images that Jackson is one loved little boy.

Henry!!! You are the most adorable little boy with a gorgeous mommy and handsome daddy. I met this family at one of my favorite spots in Atlanta and we got some amazing images this evening...the perfectly coordinating wardrobe, a gorgeous family, and a happy little boy made for the most perfect session. This tiny baby just oozed sweetness. Barrett, "Bear" as mom and dad call him, was a perfect angel for our session. He snoozed right through posing and then gave us some awake time during the lifestyle shots.

I absolutely LOVED spending the afternoon with the proud mama and daddy and their precious bundle. What was even more special was when we figured out that the same dr who delivered my Jack also delivered Barrett. Such a fun connection!

This beautiful boy was a dream to photograph. When I arrived he was wide awake and fought falling asleep so hard. I could tell that he didn't want to miss out on whatever was going to happen with a visitor in his house! Once he settled into sleep, he slept so deeply and allowed me to move him into all kinds of adorable poses, wraps, and hats. It was a wonderful session. I loved photographing JD and loved getting to know his mama during this session!

Thank you Melanie and Nate for asking me to capture these precious early days of JD's life. He is a doll baby and I hope you enjoy watching him grow!

I have to say that this is probably the coolest sessions, scenery-wise that I've done to date! It had been raining all day and we were worried that we'd have to reschedule, which is super difficult with extended family sessions since each family has its own busy schedule. Thankfully, the rain went away JUST in time!

We met at Buford Dam, which my friend and former co-worker, Angie, had picked for their session. It was beautiful when we toured it a few weeks before the session but we couldn't have planned it on a day with this fog coming off the river if we tried! We also hopped across the street and did a few shots at Lake Lanier.

Little Maddox's session was just perfect! After our initial booking contact, we figured out that we have lots of mutual connections so I was very excited to meet this family. They were just as wonderful as I expected!

Big brother Logan and big sister Grace were as adorable as they could be. Logan told me all kinds of stories like we had known each other forever and sweet Grace snuggled in my lap during one of Maddox's feeding breaks. Not only that, but they were so proud of their new baby brother. I loved getting to know Erin and Paul and learning more about them.

R family, you are such a wonderful family and I thank you for the opportunity to capture your memories during the addition of your new family member. I hope you are continuing to enjoy life as a family of five!

Oh Miss Aubrey, you are such a beautiful baby! I could just snuggle her all the time. This family was wonderful and I loved getting to know them and capture their family during this exciting time. Big sister Ellie was adorable and so much fun. I absolutely loved my morning with them.

I was thrilled when this sweet family asked to do newborn photos for their new addition. The Giambrones are close friends of my in-laws so I had heard how excited they were to welcome a new baby girl into their family. And my Jack and their Evan have spent some time playing together on a couple different occasions, so I also knew what a sweet big brother Evan would be!

Our session was wonderful. Tiny Miss Mary slept like an angel and we got lost of family and sibling shots during our time together as well!

This precious baby boy was so wonderful to photograph. He slept so well and let us get him into all kinds of poses and outfits:)

Kyle's daddy was the organizer behind this session which I think is so cool! What a proud daddy. As you can see, daddy is a big Detroit Lions fan and had this sweet newborn jersey all ready for his baby boy.

I enjoyed my time with Kyle and his momma on this morning and loved getting to know their family story as I captured tiny Kyle in photographs. Then I met Kyle's daddy and beautiful older sisters at the end of the session. Such a wonderful family, Kyle is lucky to have you all!

For the last 4 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching preschool ballet at our church as an after school elective for the preschool. Each year I have had such a wonderful group of little girls who are so sweet and enthusiastic about being beautiful ballerinas. And this year was no different! I had 7 cuties and we learned ballet through movement, balance exercises, basic ballet moves, and we even learned a couple dances (including a tap dance)!

Our end of year recital occurred this week and was a wonderful evening where we showed off everything that they've learned over the year. The girls were so excited to perform for their parents and I was so proud of the show that they put on! Before the show began, I took the opportunity to take some photos of the girls all dressed up for the big evening. Enjoy!

I was thrilled when Danyella and Wes contacted me about a newborn session for their new precious boy, Lucas. I can't ever say enough about how the specialness of newborn sessions. It's such a sweet and fleeting time in a family's life and I'm always so honored to be asked to capture the makeup of a new family.

We had such a wonderful afternoon together, baby Lucas was as sweet as he could be and I loved getting to chat with his mom and dad during our breaks. I've known Danyella and her family for several years and they are such great people. I've met Wes a couple times so enjoyed this chance to get to know him and Danyella as a couple. They are already such great parents, Lucas is so lucky to have them!
